About Us
Salem City Club was established in 1967 for the purpose of engaging the local community in conversations, topics and issues that inspire all to be better informed members of the community. We are a volunteer-led organization and are dependent upon member and community support to further our mission. We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, incorporated in the state of Oregon.
Members of Salem City Club are entitled to certain privileges, such as free admission to our semi-monthly meetings, access to a Membership Directory and semi-monthly eBulletin, and first option of asking questions at programs. Non-members are welcome to attend any and all programs, forums or debates that we host. There is a fee for non-member to attend most programs.
Be sure to visit our events page, you will learn of the many topics, speakers, and forums that we host. Our goal is that our programs present fellow citizens with the opportunity to learn more about issues, derive a greater understanding of the diversity and complexity of problems and topics facing us not only at a local level, but often times at a state and national level. Ultimately, we hope that members and attendees are inspired to go the next step and become involved in issues that are meaningful to them. Salem City Club: inspiring individuals in the appreciation and activities of the responsibilities of citizenship!
