On May 21, Joe Tinnell, the head coach of CTEC Robotics, will introduce us to their robotic expertise and present the essential knowledge and skills required to construct a CTEC robot.

Furthermore, Joe will provide an in-depth analysis of the rapidly expanding application of robotics, both domestically and globally, in conjunction with the integration of artificial intelligence.

Speakers

Joe Tinnell is an engineer, business owner and educator.  In high school, he was a founding member of CTEC Robotics, a FIRST Robotics Competition team based at CTEC.  His experience in FRC inspired him to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Oregon State University, where he was recruited as a Research Assistant in the university's Manufacturing Process Control Laboratory.  After graduating from OSU, Joe returned to his hometown of Salem, accepted a job with Garmin as an Aviation Systems Engineer, and began serving as CTEC Robotics new Head Coach.  He is now in his 4th year with the new team, where he aims to build it into the most competitive robotics program in Oregon.

Evelyn Schultz is a Machinist for A.R.E. and first-year mentor for CTEC Robotics.  During her 2 years as a student, she served as CTEC Robotics' Team Captain.

Enzo Chavez is a junior at North Salem High School.  After 2 years competing in the Vex Robotics Competition (VRC) at North, he joined CTEC Robotics.  He now serves as the team's Mechanical Design Lead.

Titus Jones is a college freshman at Chemeketa Community College, where he is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  For 2 years, he served as the Programming Lead for CTEC Robotics.
