Marion County's Garbage Burner: It Seemed a Good Idea at the Time

New waste treatment technologies, differing scientific opinion about emissions and safety, changing thoughts about the generation of waste and what to do with it have emerged for consideration. Marion County representatives will explain their continued support of Convanta’s burner and Covanta’s bid to qualify for renewable energy credits before the legislature.
