Speaker: Mark Henkels, Professor of Political Science, Western Oregon University

Oregon’s rural–urban divide is as stark as any place in the country. Increasing urbanization, shifting political power, and environmental, economic and cultural controversies have widened the divide. Mark Henkels, professor of Political Science at Western Oregon University, will discuss the politics of the rural-urban divide and prospects for bridging the gap.
