It is widely accepted that marked climate change is happening worldwide and in Oregon,  and that this is human-caused. Climate change has been triggered by soaring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, largely due to the burning of fossil fuels, plus changes in agriculture practices and land management.
In response, Democratic legislators are now, for the fourth time, trying to pass a carbon pricing bill in the next Oregon legislative session, i.e. a cap and trade bill also known as the Clean Energy Jobs Bill.
With this in mind, we have invited three speakers to address the issue of carbon pricing in Oregon in a panel presentation to our group.  They are Senator Michael Dembrow, Bob Jenks and Sunny Radcliffe.
*Please note that lunch reservations are non-refundable and due by noon on the Wednesday before the program. If you are unable to attend the luncheon and have a lunch reservation, please be aware that cancellations made after noon on the Wednesday before the luncheon will not be granted. In this case, payment for the reserved lunch is still owed.
