Salem City Club Informed Voter Series – A Debate of Ballot Measure 104: Should We Limit

The Power of Majorities to Raise State Revenue?

WILLAMETTE HERITAGE CENTER (SPINNING ROOM)
- 11:30 AM LUNCH
- 12 PM PROGRAM

Are you confused about how you want to vote on Ballot Measure 104?  In the third of Salem City Club’s Informed Voter Series, you will hear arguments from a representative of “Yes on 104” in support of the measure and a speaker opposed to the constitutional change from Our Oregon.  A question and answer period will follow the speakers’ presentations.

Ballot Measure 104 proposes an amendment to the Oregon state constitution to apply a 3/5’s super majority vote to any legislation that increases revenue through changes in tax exemptions, credits and deductions that result in increased revenue, as well as the creation or increase of taxes and fees.

You must RSVP if you plan to have lunch.
Members: no charge
NON-Members: $10
Lunch (optional): $20

**CANCELLATION POLICY: Meal registrations are non-refundable. You can cancel a lunch reservation before 5:00 pm on Tuesday.  If you do not cancel and you do not attend, you will still owe Salem City Club the luncheon amount.
