We are pleased and excited to have the two candidates for House District 21 at our Oct. 25th SCC election information forum. The incumbent, Rep. Kevin Mannix, has so far served as a state legislator for 12 years (not continuously). He is focused on the issues of public safety, the housing crisis, and affordability of housing. His challenger, City Councilor Virginia Stapleton, has served in this capacity since 2021 and was recently Council President. She is running with a focus on bringing down costs for families, fully funding our police and fire departments, investing in quality education for kids, building more affordable housing, and addressing the homelessness, mental health, and addiction crises.
