Understanding Oregon PERS

Speaker: David Crosley, Communications Director, Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), will address the current financial state of PERS and its impact on participating state and local governments.

Dave will take us through the numbers of PERS so we can follow the dots and understand where the challenges are and where the opportunities may be. 2015 investment returns will be known and employer contribution rates for 2017 will be estimated. Although he will present the status of PERS for the entire state, he will pay particular attention to the PERS member employers in Marion and Polk counties.
